Habit Tracker Privacy Policy

Template notice: This sample policy must be customized to match Habit Tracker's real data practices, SDKs, permissions, advertising model, target audience, and applicable laws. It is not legal advice.

Effective Date

Effective date: January 1, 2026.

Company or Developer Identity

Habit Tracker is provided by Velose Africa. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Velose Africa.

Information Collected

The app may collect account details, subscription status, settings, reminder preferences, support messages, analytics events, and device diagnostics. Replace this section with the exact categories collected by the released app.

Information Entered by Users

Users may enter habit names, goals, routines, completion history, notes, mood tags, health-related labels, and other personal progress information. If the app processes health, wellness, or sensitive information, describe that processing clearly and confirm legal requirements.

Device and Diagnostic Information

The app may collect device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, diagnostic events, and performance data to maintain app stability and troubleshoot issues.

Analytics

Analytics may be used to understand active usage, streak features, reminder engagement, onboarding completion, and reliability. Analytics events should avoid sensitive habit names, notes, or health-related content unless the app explicitly requires and discloses it.

Advertising

If Habit Tracker displays ads, advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, approximate location, device information, and ad interaction data. If the app is ad-free or uses only contextual ads, update this section accordingly.

Permissions

Habit Tracker may request notification permission for reminders, calendar access for scheduling, health platform access if integrated, and photo access if users attach images. Only permissions actually used by the app should be listed.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to track habits, show progress, schedule reminders, sync data if offered, manage subscriptions, provide support, improve app reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Where required, processing may be based on contract performance, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or another applicable legal basis. Sensitive data may require explicit consent or additional safeguards.

Information Sharing

We do not sell user-entered habit history. Information may be shared with vendors that support hosting, analytics, crash reporting, payments, authentication, customer support, or legal compliance. Add all actual third-party recipients before publishing.

Third-Party Services

Habit Tracker may use third-party services such as app stores, payment processors, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, cloud hosting providers, notification services, or health platform APIs. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. Users should protect their devices, app accounts, and backup credentials, especially when habit data includes private wellness or lifestyle information.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Habit history should be deleted or anonymized according to the app's real retention workflow.

Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion through the app, where available, or by emailing privacy@example.com. See Data Deletion for the general deletion workflow.

User Rights

Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Users may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Children's Privacy

Habit Tracker is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Data Transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than the user's country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards should be used for international transfers.

Changes to the Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes should be communicated through the app, this website, or another appropriate channel.
